How do I place a maximum/proxy bid on my mobile device?
Step #1 - Navigate to the lot you wish to place your proxy bid on.
Step #2 - You will see a field that says place max bid. Enter your max bid amount in that area and click the Submit Max Bid Button.
Once set up, a max bid will automatically be placed on the lot on your behalf up to the specified max bid amount you have set up. Your max bid will automatically place itself in the existing increments set by the Auction.
For example, let's say the starting bid on a lot is $500. If a bidder places a bid for $525, and you place a max bid for $1000, the full value of the max bid will not be placed immediately. As other bidders bid on the item, your max bid will auto-bid for you in the increment set by the sale event up to your max bid value. This allows you to remain competitive and bid up to the amount you're comfortable with and not have to be in front of your device when the lot is closing.
